This is a love story about Phil and his wife. If it provides encouragement for anyone who has lost a loved one, I give gratitude to God and the Angels.

Before telling this story, it might clarify things if you knew how I became involved with the Angels. My relationship with the Heavenly Host came about from my seeking to overcome childhood trauma, extreme depression, workplace stress and chronic illness. The journey took many years. After arriving on the other end of my tunnel of darkness, I asked God for a way to serve. I was given the gift of what might be called Angelic prayer. This form of prayer does not beseech or bargain; rather it calls upon the Divine to send Angels to renew a person’s mind and heart by spiritual transformation. I pursued formal training in areas of spirituality; and that training, combined with Angelic prayer became my ministry — my way of serving.

Now for the love story:

Phil’s wife had been bedridden for over a year with an illness that could not be diagnosed or treated. Throughout this period of his wife’s illness, Phil devoted every minute of his time to providing for her needs. His sole job for over a year was giving care to this woman he loved so deeply. Then one day, without any indication of her condition worsening, she left her physical body.

When we met in person, Phil told me he was experiencing lack of purpose and feeling unclear and hopeless about his direction in life. I could see the grief in his eyes and his body gave the same message he expressed verbally.

During our preparation for prayer, Phil shared his deep feelings and desires to overcome his grief. We spoke about the possibility that his wife might come if in the wisdom of the Divine it would serve the highest good for both of them. Phil was prepared for this possibility. The prayer that came from our discussion was a declaration that Phil was full of life, energized, and content to be alive. I asked the Angels to assist in the fulfillment of his prayer and to change into Divine light and love anything interfering with the renewal of his life force.

Please bear in mind that after I make the prayer, I do not know what a person is experiencing. What you read next is from my notes of Phil’s description of his Angelic encounter.

Phil reported seeing various colors and an increased beating of his heart. (Just for your information, angels often show themselves to us through color). He then reported the presence of his wife, as well as a being that was “much bigger.” He and his wife communicated telepathically. Phil received answers to questions that were haunting him, and simultaneously experienced healing. He now knew directly from his wife that she was whole and in eternal peace. (I thought to myself that this was a demonstration of how love survives — even beyond physical embodiment; that Phil’s wife was now being the caregiver for the renewal of her beloved). During his time with his wife and the being that was “much bigger”, he was given the blue color of the Caribbean to help remember his healed state, and was told to go back to “that place” if he experienced any doubts. We brought our prayer time to an end, with Phil being a different person from the one who walked through my door 90 minutes ago.

I checked back with Phil after a few days. He reported that he was staying in touch with his wife. He was aware of the difference in energy between his wife and the being that was “much bigger.” He was sleeping better and feeling lighter in spirit. He also reported noticing that his physical appearance had changed back to its old vibrancy. He had renewed enthusiasm for the work he was doing.

After a few months, I sought Phil’s permission to relay his angel miracle story, I received the following response. (I have deleted personal communications to maintain the sacredness of the messages received from his wife.)

“One of the things that I was most worried about is that, even with all the religious and metaphysical learning I had done, it made no sense that God would let you love and then rip it away. It did not matter of my logic, etc. I still went into a deep funk and could not get out of it. The answers I got…were very settling to me. I needed those answers, and they were given. Also, the deep color of the Caribbean blue… I found myself looking for that color in jewelry and in other places. I even went to the Caribbean to heal in that color. Life is fantastic, and we are on the tip of the wave. How glorious!”

On Thursday I had opportunity to speak before the TOPS Club in Green Mountain Falls, Colorado about Higher Power Over Food. TOPS is an acronym for Take Off Pounds Sensibly. The clubs offer weight-loss support and wellness education. I felt privileged that the members were welcoming me to speak.

While driving to the meeting place, I had my usual pre-talk jitters: would my radical message be accepted or even understood; will I be able to speak without being tongue tied; will I ever be comfortable at public speaking?

I believe that what I teach is the purpose God has for me in this world, which is why I am willing to step outside my comfort zone. Perhaps you, too, have a message to deliver and like me experience the challenges of getting it across.

There are times when things can be accomplished by mere human effort and there are times when divine help is needed. I needed divine help NOW, and I made my call: “God, if this is what you want me to do, I am getting out of your way. I need you to speak through me, so that I express your words clearly and confidently. And, I need the people to accept and understand your message.”

I had made this request before but apparently not with such passion, because this time it worked! I was calm and clear and the audience understood what I had to say. I felt I had finally gotten a message out that will change the lives of those who have ears to hear. It was such a rewarding experience that I am now pursuing public speaking.

Here is my decree that came from this life lesson. I share it, should it serve you:

 I AM ALLOWING GOD TO SPEAK THROUGH MY VOICE, NOW.

The clouds floating effortlessly by are my inspiration to stop struggling against the wind and flow instead with Spirit. I am nourished with the knowing that I am one with Creator and I don’t have to fight and struggle to have the life I desire and deserve. When I am consciously in partnership with Spirit, all things come to me with ease according to my creative thoughts, feelings, words and actions.

My Decree

I am one with Spirit and my life flows with ease.

Recent events have kept me from releasing my new web site and I wondered if there was something deeper than the appearance of road blocks. I asked my Higher Power to help me discern the truth for my not moving forward and doing what I believed was my life’s purpose. I became aware the real issue was my fear of being visible. The destructive core beliefs of being attacked that I had since childhood were still sabotaging me. With this awareness, I asked for transformation of the underlying cause(s) of these beliefs, knowing from experience something deeper was triggering my fear of being a presence in the world. A whole scenario unfolded, which I might share another time. However, since the core issues that have been holding me back have been transformed, I am now liberated and able to do my work in the world.

I would like to give to you for your own use – should something be holding you back – the decree (affirmation) that came from my turmoil.

Some of the words come from Jesus, whom I see outside of any religion as a teacher for the world. They are available for use by anyone who has an open mind. I will give you the decree, followed by my interpretation and its contemporary usage.

 I AM the resurrection and the life and the open door to freedom.

 Interpretation: I AM (God is – or your name for your Higher Power) the resurrection and the life (the transformation and raising of life out of destructive, conscious and subconscious core issues) and the open door to freedom. (see below)

Usage as a meditation: (1) experience yourself unified with I AM; (2) with the apparent road block(s) to your moving forward in mind, and realizing your Higher Power knows the core issue(s), allow your Higher Power to transform them – if you can, let yourself experience the transformation happening throughout your body (3) be aware of your shift in consciousness and the door to your freedom opening.

Since taking the New Beginnings with Food program in January, 2011, Patty has lost 25 pounds. Symptoms of Multiple Sclerosis have reduced. She has more energy, endurance for walking, and less knee pain.

Patty is the “poster girl” for the New Beginnings with Food (NBF) program, and has given me permission to write some of her story.

We were gathering at Patty’s house for our monthly mindful eating pot luck reunion and support circle. Patty greeted us at the door in her new body and baggy clothes. Her shirt was tucked in (not the norm for her) and her tightly-cinched belt was barely holding up her pants. She was excited about the prospect of purchasing a new wardrobe.

Patty is a physical therapist with an active practice in Woodland Park, Colorado, but had just been on a business trip to fill in for a colleague in California who was on maternity leave. Patty went to California armed with all the tools she had learned during the NBF program. She had many stress and food challenges during her trip that were easily overcome. When she told about her victory over the chocolate chip cookie god I just knew I had to relay her story. I am sure anyone who worships this false god (or any other food god) as I do will appreciate it.

On her return trip, Patty had time to eat lunch at one of the airports during a layover. She chose the healthiest of the offerings, a Thai chicken wrap. The vendor was so generous – he gave her a free chocolate chip cookie. (Do you think there was an ulterior motive on the part of the vendor?) While eating her wrap, Patty kept eyeing the cookie. When finished with the wrap, she held the cookie in her hands, turned it over and kept examining it. Then . . . she threw it in the trash. Could you have done this? Patty said it was easy, and all the work she had been doing for herself since January was easy and fruitful. There wasn’t any strain or pain – just the joy of loving and caring for herself, and celebrating that she had changed on a cellular level because she had found a way to tie together body, mind and Spirit.

NOW, THIS HAS TO BE THE ULTIMATE TEST . . . TEMPTATION BY, AND VICTORY OVER THE CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIE GOD!
